Grow in Confidence and Compassion with...Wonderfully Me Books

Our Wonder Family

Our Wonder Family is a family-owned business that helps people embrace who they are, express themselves authentically, and build meaningful relationships. We create products, services, and experiences that promote confidence, compassion, and connection.

We offer children’s books, educational resources, and adaptive hearing aid headbands and accessories. We also visit schools to share stories and personal experiences of being wonderfully different, helping children see the wonderful things about themselves and each other and discover new possibilities for inclusion, acceptance, and friendship.

In 2020, our family was featured on the show Born Different. Our story has been viewed over 1.7 million times and sparked positive responses from families seeking to raise confident, compassionate children. This experience inspired us to launch the Our Wonder Family YouTube channel and begin writing Wonderfully Me Books.

Duane Zingale

Duane Zingale is a speaker, storyteller, and father who knows what it's like to stand out in a crowd. Born with Treacher Collins syndrome, which affects facial development and hearing, Duane has spent his life overcoming obstacles, breaking down stereotypes, and finding humor in unexpected places. Now raising a daughter who shares his condition, he brings a unique perspective to conversations about identity, confidence, disability, and belonging. Through personal stories and his signature sense of humor, Duane encourages audiences to look beyond appearances, embrace what makes them unique, and build meaningful connections with others.

Becky Zingale likes butterflies, sunflowers, board games, hiking, rock climbing, and building LEGO with her husband, Duane, and their two daughters, Chloe and Ariasha. Duane has the same facial syndrome as the main character in the book and movie Wonder. Ariasha was also born with facial differences and uses bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHAs), just like her dada. Becky began making headbands and accessories for BAHA-wearers and their siblings to help families like their own. She also began writing Wonderfully Me Books, so all children can see themselves represented and feel understood, whether they connect with a character’s challenges, physical appearance, interests, personality, or unique way of experiencing the world.
